You 100% ARE a teacher forever! And I bet that in some way, you will be actively teaching again someday. There are so many ways to teach ~ kids, adults, in a school, in a workplace, as a volunteer in the community, or even just to friends and family! As for work talk, it's just not great for my mental health to ruminate on it outside of work more than I already do ~ I'm all in and loving my job right now, but it HURTS to think about it disappearing. Regarding a schedule, this is what works for me, and I have gotten to the point of being a few weeks ahead on my Saturday newsletters ~ it's taken quite awhile to figure out a rhythm though!

You're so right Katy, the only thing we can count on is that change is inevitable. I love what your friend said and hope that your job will remain. Thank you so much for recommending my Substack today❤️

Thank you for sharing about your job and trying to manage reactions to change. I work the Kenosha school district and there is also talk of multiple schools closing which always stirs up so much emotion. I’ll be thinking of you! 😊

I can't imagine the stress (on staff, students, and parents) of not knowing the school's future, especially when it's a place you so much enjoy! Hope everything works out - keeping my fingers crossed for you!
