I am so excited to go pickup the new Tessa Bailey and new Ali Hazelwood next Tuesday. I also picked the new BK Borison book as my February BOTM selection.
Thank you for the mention, Katy. That one phrase has saved me so much anguish over the years. I have used it not only when processing disagreement over a book but also when I felt that another person read and liked a book but liked it for the "wrong" reason. 🤣🤣🤣 I remember being in an argument with a friend about 'How to read the air' by Dinaw Mengestu several years ago... and she liked it all wrong. I liked it in all the right ways.
I am about to take my kid to the library this morning and then will go get that Book Loft candle because I cannot resist either.
YES to the library and woohooo re: the Book Loft candle! Not only does it have a great name, it actually smells good ;-) Also - HA re: people liking books for the “wrong” reason!
Bookshop finally removed their IP restriction for Nigeria 😉 wonder whether they heard my protests. Also I got an ARC of NOTHING SERIOUS. I’ll wait to see if you read it before I invest time 😂 have to be choosy about my adult reads.
Nina. I'm very worried that I may get kicked out of class due to my inappropriate nervous laughter about my lack of rhythm and inability to be sexy enough? I told the friend I'm going with that I am approaching it as a workout class because it is so far out of my comfort zone that I don't even know how to think about it! Trying new things is so good for us :-) As for books ~ SO. GOOD.
Thank you I just pre ordered 2 of your book recs Can’t wait till February 11
Hooray for the anticipation of bookmail, Susan!!
I’m so happy you finally got around to When Breath Becomes Air. It’s an all time favorite. A fun fact, I graduated high school with Lucy.
That IS a fun fact, Katie! What a small world we live in ♡

Hooray for finally coming to their senses, Afoma!! I’ll let you know what I think of NOTHING SERIOUS ~ it has definitely piqued my interest.
