I’m lucky to be with family and have lots of books and puzzles. I’m visiting in Canada (they have their own political issues ) but it helps me to be a bit away. I start back up in January with supporting my causes. The winter solstice is a time a peace for me
Thanks for recommending audio file! I’ll be checking there for reviews. I listen to a ton of romance on audiobook and the performance can really make or break a book! Wishing you a peaceful Yule.
Good for you! I have no illness or weather excuses but I crave two days where I can refuse to go anywhere. Instead I compromised by going where I had to go (kid’s riding lesson) in the sweats I slept in on Saturday morning and staying in them reading until the next thing (going with my husband to his synagogue’s anniversary celebration) at 5pm. And yesterday I managed to stay in my pjs working on my newsletter until around 2. We all need down time this time of year!
Ooo! Excited to check out Audio File! I'm always googling "books that are good on audio" lol. In terms of preparing for the next administration, I've also been mindful of my spending and targeting my donations. I also started a new Substack called The Next Four as a place to share resources/process what's coming.
Make sure to also check out the annual "Best" lists on places like Audible and Libro.fm! BookPage also has a good audiobook section that involves narration in their reviews :-) I'll definitely check out your new Substack - thank you!

The narration REALLY matters in romance, I completely agree! Wishing you a peaceful Yule as well ❤️

We definitely do need downtime, Abra - I'm glad you were able to carve some out for yourself!
Thanks for letting me get this off my chest! No more plans, people! No more chores!
Thank you for the book recommendation. Just finished it on audio tonight and it was a great late December listen.
Oh yay! I’m always happy when my recs are a hit for readers ❤️
