Hello supporters!
First of all, IT’S MY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! That means summer is officially over and it’s definitely time to reflect. I spent my last day off yesterday walking in our city’s Labor Day parade with my teachers’ union while my husband and youngest walked a bit ahead of me with the Teamsters ~ UNION STRONG, UNION PROUD family over here! I then spent the afternoon napping, talking to my mom on the phone and gloriously NOT frantically preparing for tomorrow ~ I sewed a tote bag instead ☺
Summer Reading = OVER
Given that I make *such* a big deal out of summer reading, I figured it was only right that I close out the season with a bang ~ i.e. a completely subjective list of my ten favorite books that I read this season. Subjective, because of course, what does favorite even MEAN?
To me, favorite means these are the books I read this summer that I recommended the most, discussed the most, and will stick with me for some time. When I went back to the end of May in my Goodreads and scrolled through to the end of August, these are the books that I felt truly represented this season of life.
