I absolutely loved Search and I read it because of you! :) Rough Sleepers, Poverty, and Happiness Falls are also on my (in my head only) list of books I’m recommending a lot. I bought all four for friends and family this Christmas. (Book twins!!)

It takes me significantly longer to get through nonfiction and I feel like I turn to fiction when I want more narratives! I loved Fat Talk by Virginia Sole-Smith and I finished it Labor Day weekend and then didn’t read any more NF until November. I haven’t read any of these, but thank you as always for the recs!

I loved Fat Talk as well, Elizabeth! And I definitely read nonfiction slower as well. I find that I don't like it on audio as much as I do fiction either, which means I have fewer opportunities for consuming it. But I do have an extensive NF list for 2024, so I need to get back to it!

I loved Happiness Falls and I was intrigued by the premise of Search by Michelle Huneven, which I wouldn't have looked up if I hadn't spotted it here!

Based on those non fiction recommendations I’m confident you’d enjoy my most-recommended non fiction book! When The Dust Settles is by disaster recovery expert Lucy Easthope and it’s all about what happens after the immediate crisis response of a big disaster, whether it be a natural disaster, an industrial accident, or a terrorist attack. Absolutely fantastic and SO human.

I haven’t read any of these so I love hearing how much you loved them. The book by Mary Louise Kelly sounds like it would tug on the heart strings. Great list

Im definitely adding In Love to my TBR thank you. Im writing memoir right now so I’m reading primarily memoir too. But Shark Heart was recommended by a friend too and it sounds fascinating as well!

In Love is stellar on audio if you like that format! And it's very short, so it's a book you can savor in one afternoon of chores, walking, crafting, etc :-) I hope you try out Shark Heart ~ there is SO MUCH to consider when it comes to craft in that book!
