Hello readers! It’s FINALLY TIME for me to share my list(s) of my most memorable reads of 2024! I hope you find something new to try or to recommend to a friend ☺
You have to understand, my friends. I read too many books. I use books as a way to hide from reality, I ignore people around me in favor of reading, I read and listen to some books that I don’t pay very close attention to or remember at all, and I read so very many books that just aren’t all that great.
BUT the glory of the mass volume is that I do read a ton of great books too. Books that make me think and gasp and swoon and most importantly, FEEL.
That means I have SO. MANY. titles to choose from when creating a most memorable list! Honestly, any book that I actually have strong memories of and a visceral emotional response to deserves its praises sung far and wide. And that’s what I want this list to be. A time capsule that I can share for years to come so these titles don’t get lost.
Most Memorable Reads of 2024
Now for the books! I compiled my TOP 70 books of 2024 in a lovingly-crafted PDF download for you that you can peruse as you’re building a library holds list, or creating a bookstore wish list.
How can I have a list of my top 70 books? Well, I told you that I read way too much, and there were a LOT of books this year I don’t want to leave out. I spent so much time pondering this over my winter break that I can justify each and every one of these titles, I promise. Also, there are both fiction and nonfiction adult titles, as well as middle grade and young adult titles ~ it’s hard to pick just a few in ANY of these areas!
These books aren’t the “best”, they’re not the most perfectly written, and they’re not necessarily even the ones I rated the highest. But when I went back through all the books I read this year, these are the ones I remember the most, told the most people about, and was just utterly delighted to think about again.
I think that’s a sign of a year well-read, isn’t it? An overflowing most-memorable list?
