Hello supporters! This is our fourth check-in for the summer reading program, in which we get to share our favorite reads of the summer so far! And remember, all weekday newsletters are now just for paid subscribers ~ thank you for valuing and supporting my work here ♡
We are right at summer’s mid-point, my friends. I tend to get a bit moody at this point in the season ~ panicking about how much I haven’t done yet and how much I want to still do and ohmygoshwherehasthetimegone. But this year, I’m trying to focus on appreciating what I have done already and the fun that’s yet to come.
With that said, here are a few of my favorite experiences from the past 7 weeks:
Milwaukee with
Maine with the kids!!!!
So much pool time with the youngest
Seeing Inside Out 2 with the youngest
Figuring out free-form fabric piecing
Finding my summer movement rhythm and starting my training for the October half marathon
Time in my hometown with my siblings / kids / Dad
A fun family movie date for my husband’s birthday (Despicable Me 4)
The Play Make Learn conference experience
Taking the youngest and her friend to the county fair
exploring weaving projects with the youngest
sewing my first-ever skirt with POCKETS this past weekend!
And there are two more trips to come and so much time yet to make memories.
Let’s not think about back-to-school shopping or any of the THINGS in our lives just now ……… what experiences have shaped your summer so far? What are you looking forward to?
Summer Reading Superlatives
One of the things I promised with this year’s Summer Reading Program was a mindful and reflective approach to seasonal reading. Here’s our time to check in and reflect on what we have been reading so far this summer!
